A New Start. A Good Start?

By the time this entry is up, its already after 2008’s Christmas and after 31.12.2008 and I would have settled down comfortably in Singapore by now. I’m probably enjoying my cup of coffee in my room with my house mate’s Corgi as my floor rug. I wonder if 2009 will start wonderfully? But I’m very sure that my last day of 2008 is very eventful.

So how did I end my 2008? New resolution? Partying late out in the night? No, not really. Given a choice, I will prefer to just spend the last day of 2008 being myself and clean up the my place to welcome the new year, but God have a little extra for me as the last memory for 2008. I got myself locked in my room. What’s worst is that I just had the door knob changed 2 days ago.

Having run out of option to get myself out of the room, me and my housemate resorted to breaking down the whole door knob and nearly ramming the door down. The struggle lasted for a good 45 minutes and when I got finally got out of the room, I’m left with a big hole in the door. To plug the hole and lock the door, I resorted to getting a kitchen sponge and a door stopper. At least that will last me for a couple of days till I got another replacement knob.

After freeing myself and putting the temporary safety measure for the door, I continued with my plans to clean up the room and my other stuffs. The reason I’m so keen on cleaning up my room is because my housemate actually owns 2 dogs and I’m living with them. So dog’s in apartments = Lot’s of furs and they have been going in and out of my room for the past week. No sooner than I clean up the room, they did it again.

First, Guchi the Corgi (He even make himself comfortable with the newly cleaned floor)

Then Tammy the Bull Terrier came in for her turn to inspect the room. *sigh*

Oh well. I’m living with them. They are living with me … and they are very friendly and cute too. I guess I’ll just have to clean my room more often. The rest of the day ended peacefully without any other further incidents. I actually got the chance to sit down a little to have a can of coffee and reflect a little about what happened for the past year. I just have this feeling that things will just get better in 2009 for me and for everyone. Happy New Year everybody and may you all be well and happy.
