On my last day … in the morning

We have just passed by Yeo Chu Kang station. 11 more station to my destination. The crowed is not as heavy as it should be. Maybe because of the long Chinese New Year celebration fever. My travel gears are packed with me & my ears are filled with music thru the earphone.

It is a sunny morning & the weather is bound to heat up in a couple more hours. Every commuters are doing the usual thing as they board the train. Listening to music thru their phones & mp3 players, playing games with PSP, iPhone & iPad. Some are reading; some are sleeping while many just stared into the empty space between them & the next person as the train passes by the landscapes outside before darkness swallow the coach.

Trips in the MRT can be as short at 3 minutes or as long as 1 hour. Everyone is making the best use of the time available be it for rest, work or entertainment. That’s life in Singapore. I will probably miss my daily eye candy of the cute college babes & the beautiful ladies armed to their fullest for the mission of the day but will certainly not miss other idiotic passengers. This is just a typical weekday morning for me for the last 2 days.

The morning will always be cool & rich in fresh air before entering the train. Once in the train, fresh air will be replace by the smell of shampoo, soap, cologne & perfume. The strength increases gradually as the train is filled from station to station. It is not always unpleasant but then again it can be overwhelming.

Tomorrow will be a different day. This is my working morning in Singapore. Today is my last day at work.
