About

Fueled by the desire to have a webpage of my own, I started to surf around with an aim to learn more about creating webpage. I did some reading a little here & there but give up soon after due to the limited access to the internet. That is sometime in 2005.

The desire to make my own webpage was re-ignited in 2007 when I took a short-term work assignment to Sabah. Knowing that my wife will miss me badly, I wanted to find a way to keep her updated of my life in Sabah without burning up a huge hole in the pocket. I discovered blogging & soon, registered my first blog.

It did not take me long to discover the limitations of my first blog platform. I soon find myself feeling frustrated & in need of a better platform that has more storage capacity & flexibility for customisation. In 2008, I moved to WordPress.com.

WordPress opened up a huge window for me to create a blog domain as I liked. Like a kid in a candy store, I open one offer another blog without much thought about the content. Soon enough, I have a problem of having little or no content to be posted up. I have been too greedy. I went for quantity rather than quality. I did not have any readers & yet I foolishly register new blog thinking that eventually, my readership will eventually increase when I have nothing to offer.

My views about blogging matured when I felt pressured to increase the contents of my blogs due to lack of readership. Facing a prospect of having too many blogs with little or no content, it became clear to me then that I am behaving like a rich in-matured brat who throws their money freely into business that they knew nothing about.

With the enlightment, I began to consolidate my scattered posting into a single blog while erasing my other domains. The blog domain that I selected is the 3rd blog that I created with WordPress as I felt that the domain name reflected me the most & from there on remained as my permanent domain, cedriceng.wordpress.com.
