27.12.2008 : I’ve just updated most of the photos that I’ve taken during my time at Kota Kinabalu and have also change some of the wordings used while blogging last year. Maybe because my command of the English has improved during the period that I served as a Asistant Tax Manager that I began to notice little things like gramatrical error and bad composition of sentences. Anyway, the entries of this page is as good as 80% complete so I hope that you’ll enjoy reading the improved vesion of my old blog. Meanwhile, keep a look out for updates made for this page.
23.06.2008 : I’m in the process of consolidating all my older blog postings in the Friendster.com Blog to this page of my blog. Was just thinking, why should I have so many blogs scattered all over other webpages when I’ve already decided that this will be my permanant page? It’s very much easy to just manage all of my posting in one webpage (besides, WORDPRESS.com is much user friendly). So please bear with me for the time being cause this page of the blog will be very messy (at least) for the next couple of days or months.

I’m going to fly off to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and what have been prepared? Thats how I get ready for a long trip… (miko screaming ‘you BIG lazy bear!’ at the background!) I’m just not sure what to bring over. 3.5 months is a long time to be away from miko and I do want to have something to keep my mind occupied.

People never fail to associate me with food (literally) Since we always read about Kenny talking about his favourite ‘kolo mee’ … so I guess I might as well give it a since I’m here in Sabah. But where to find ah? I’m just not sure if they have the same variety of ‘kolo mee’ here. However, this is a very interesting version of kolo mee that I have here … it’s with BABI HUTAN (Yep! you read it correctly it’s wild boar). It’s just so so so. Lots of bone shards in that I end up chewing all the time.
My personal favourite. Claypot yee mee! I’ll never miss the chance to have it. Sabah’s yee mee is a little different from those in KL … the shape of the noodle here in sabah is FLAT. It’s FLAT! Not only it’s flat; it does not come with the usual fish/ meat balls that we had it in KL but with roast pork, fish cake, char siew & wan tan! Of course, not to forget on very important ingredient that must go together with a bowl of claypot yee mee; Boiled egg.
People in KL love to hang out at the mamak stall. There dont semmed to have alot of mamk stall around here in KK though. I’ve only seen 3 so far around API-API Centre. One dish that I will never miss to have is a plate of maggie goreng. Miko never likes me eating it. She says it makes me fat. I love the way they cook it. Somehow, for a simple dish like that, its actually quite difficult to duplicate the way the dish is cooked (I’m not a good cook anyway). There wasn’t really any big difference between the way the maggi mee is cooked here and KL but I just dont understand why they can’t seemed to get the sunny side up correct. It always came to me shattered and broken … Why ah? Lousy cook ah?
27.12.2008 : I left out the fried rice. Always order it with a fried egg. Mix it well with sambal and soya sauce, that’s a very good meal.

This weekend got nothing to write about. My brain is not working. Miko is now here with me at KK (and I’m very happy). As usual, I’m now hanging at Starbarks Kopi to do my weekend surfing. The crowd seemed to be bigger than usual. Dont know why. Miko just ask me how to get her preggy. He he … will educate her later.
