The idea of having a blog specifically for all the picture taken by me came along after reading TV Smith’s blog. His entries inspired me to try to create something new with my little dummy camera (Point & Shoot type) and my N73.
Almost 90% of the shots that you’ll see here is taken with cell phone camera. I once issued a challange to my friend (He has a Canon DSLR) that a dummy cam is as good as a DSLR if you know how to use it. It’s an ongoing challenge. Dummy Cam & Cell Cam VS DSLR. Till the day I got my own DSLR; The pictures in this post will be photos taken from either the Dummy Cam or the Cell Cam.
I’m now firmly a Sony A200 user. Got my 1st DSLR in July 2008. Still practicing how to use it properly. Once I got some good shots, I’ll post it up. Meanwhile, I’ll still fill up this blog partially with pictures taken from my trusty Cell Cam.
From now on, it will only be pictures from my DSLR.
Bee – First posted in 19.06.2008
Taken with N73. Macro setting. Took me 15 minutes of squatting by the roadside following the bee in my work suit to get this shot. Just can’t miss it.
A busy bee at work. I took this picture at a parking lot after work at about 6.30pm in the evening. It took 10 minutes of squatting (in my office attire) to follow this bee around before I finally landed this shot. Worry that the bee may sting, the zoom was used.

Cable in the Mist – First posted in 27.06.2008
Taken with N73. General Setting. Picture was slightly edited. Was in the cable car on the way down from Genting Highlands after a heavy rain. The disappearing cable car gives it a very mysterious feel to the picture. Still scared to taking cable cars but since it’s a family event, I brave the moment. Was really holding wifey’s hand tightly then.
This is taken at the Genting Highlands cable car ride after an evening rain. The orange gondola in a white misty back drop provides the focus in the photo while tall trees surrounded by mist gives a sense of serenity to the photo. Light in the photo was adjusted digitally for a clearer picture.

Heart of the Banana – First posted in 30.06.2008

Taken with N73. General Setting. Was at the Gleneagles Hospital Ampang when I saw this banana’s heart hanging nearby the fence. Since I got nothing much to do while the Doc deals with the patient, hang around the garden & got this shot.
Interestingly, I have been looking for a few good subjects before comming across this banana fruit bunch hanging over the wall. I took this picture about 10am in the morning at a wall next to the Gleneagles open car park entrance. The picture was taken with the sun behind me with the phone tilted 45 degrees facing up. The final result is a beautiful picture of nature’s colour. A month later on my next visit to Gleneagles, the banana tree was taken down for unknown reasons.
